Are Daily Deal Sites Like Groupon Fading Away

In todays business environment, new ways of advertising to generate business come along frequently. And seem to go just as fast.

A Business Week article reveals that many small businesses appear to be turning their backs on daily deals sites such as Groupon, and its brethren. It quotes a DataManta survey which made for uneasy reading for the big deal sites – with over 80% of small businesses surveyed saying they would not be running a daily deal this year, and a rather shrimpy 3% saying that their experience with daily deals actually led to more repeat sales.
