Facebook Slurping Up $3m Per Day With Mobile Ad Revenues

A triumphant sounding Mark Zuckerberg revealed that Facebook was generating a rather tasty $3m per day with mobile ads by the end of September. The Q3 results showed significant year on year gains in revenues, up to $1,262m – from $954m last year.

The total revenues from advertising saw a 36% rise against the same quarter in 2011, clocking in at $1.09bn – other highlights include the seeming success of Facebook Stories, a new initiative which is expected to grow advertising revenues even further in the near future.
