More Regulatory Pressures For Barclays

According to the BBC, Barclays Bank has announced via the London Stock Exchange that it is now to be investigated again by the Securities & Exchange Commission as well as the  the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.  The former is to check into possible unfair practices the bank used to get business while the latter will look into Barclays power trading between 2006 and 2008.

This on the back of a huge write off that the bank had made with regard to payment protection insurance mis selling amounting to almost 2 billion since 2011. The stock market punished the shares which tumbled 4% on the news.
