Small Business Owners Up Their Social Media Efforts

A survey by Vertical Response has revealed that an increasing number of small business owners are investing more energy and cash on social media campaigns. The survey showed an astonishing 66% rise in the number of small firms dedicating more resources to social media, with the main sites being Facebook and Twitter.

More notable numbers from Vertical Response revealed that 43% of small companies spent 6 or more hours per week on social media campaigns. The trend towards social media was also emphasized by the revelation that for every small firm that decreased its social media budget, four times as many small firms increased it.
