Amazon To Battle Google And Facebok In Online Ad Market

According to Adweek, online retail giant Amazon is poised to enter the online advertising market – a move that will put it in direct competition with Google and Facebook. The real time ad exchange that Amazon has been working on is somewhat similar to Facebooks FBX RTB exchange (which some analysts believe to be worth a staggering $1 billion a year).

The ace up Amazons sleeve is that it can use its vast stores of client data – real Amazon shoppers and buyers – to target customers with greater pin point precision than Google or Facebook currently can. Expect the online ad market to get notably more exciting in 2013 as a result.
