Vince Cable has written about Global Entrepreneurship Week which had just finished on sunday. The UK business secretary said that more needed to be done to promote schemes for small business, such as the Shell Livewire event.
Mr Cable said that entrepreneurs can succeed in the UK no matter what their backgrounds or disadvantages, and that schemes such as Startup Loans are available to help young entrepreneurs get help in starting their own business.
The business secretary also pointed out that additional schemes like MentorsMe are available to help people get a head start with entrepreneurship.
