BBA Says Small Firms “Aren’t Asking For Loans”

Anthony Browne’s (CEO of British Bankers Association)  recent comments saying that the number of SMEs requesting a loan has decreased has been met with anger by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).

Mr Browne says that only 1.5% of all SMEs had a loan rejected over the past year, to which the FSB have responded to with some vigour, claiming that according to a bank sponsored survey, one third of load applications and one fifth of overdraft applications were rejected. Read more at BusinessZone.
