One In Five UK Entrepreneurs Risk Homes To Fund Business

A survey by office supply chain Viking Direct which interviewed 2,000 small business owners revealed that almost a fifth of UK entrepreneurs parlay their homes in order to fund, grow or salvage their business. The findings were reported upon by Business Zone.

Other notable discoveries from the survey include:

  • 75% of entrepreneurs believe there to be insufficient funding to help potential start ups.
  • Over a third believe that lack of funding is directly responsible for business failure.
  • Under a fifth of entrepreneurs interviewed would seek help from a government organization like Gov.Uk.
  • 53% of the business owners surveyed said they would maintain their business at current operation levels while a quarter expected to grow.
